Three field service engineers join the UK team

Kieran Bastow, Leanne Oakes and Tomasz Wilk have finished their induction at Morley and are now covering the North West, Yorkshire and the East Midlands.

Three new field service engineers have completed their two-week induction at our service centre in Morley and started work in their territories this week.

Kieran Bastow joins from the medical engineering department of a hospital in Lancashire and will cover the North West. Leanne Oakes, who spent nine years as an electronics technician in the Army, covers South and West Yorkshire. Tomasz Wilk, who joins from a manufacturer of dental chairs, covers the East Midlands.

The induction covers the VR-7, VR-7 XW and VR-5 beds and the VR-A4 pump to Level 2, our service systems, electrical safety testing and a day with the clinical education team on how the beds are used on an intensive-care unit. Each new engineer then spends four weeks working alongside an experienced colleague before taking calls alone.

“We now have 36 field service engineers in the UK and Ireland,” said Graham Pettifer, Director of Service. “That lets us keep planned maintenance visits within the agreed month at every hospital, and keep the first-visit fix rate where our customers expect it.”

Our next intake is planned for the spring. Current vacancies are on the careers page.
