Helen Ridsdale
Managing Director
Helen joined Van Roon in 2009 as sales manager for the north of England, after ten years selling operating theatre equipment for another manufacturer. She became commercial director in 2016 and managing director in 2021. She has a degree in biomedical science and sits on the board of Van Roon Medical UK Ltd.
Graham Pettifer
Director of Service
Graham joined as a field service engineer in Yorkshire in 1998 and has run the service organisation since 2014. He set up the Morley workshop and the service desk in its present form. He holds an HNC in electrical and electronic engineering.
Sunil Ramdas
Finance and Operations Director
Sunil is a chartered accountant. Before joining Van Roon in 2019 he was financial controller of a distributor of laboratory equipment. He is responsible for finance, the parts store, logistics and IT, and is a director of Van Roon Medical UK Ltd.
Joanne Thackray
Head of Quality and Regulatory Affairs
Joanne leads quality, regulatory affairs and customer notices, and is the company’s contact for vigilance in the UK and Ireland. She joined in 2018 from a manufacturer of hospital trolleys, where she was quality manager.
Owen Llewellyn
Head of Sales, UK and Ireland
Owen was a charge nurse in critical care in South Wales for eleven years before joining Van Roon as a clinical specialist in 2013. He has led the sales team since 2022.
Niamh Farrelly
Clinical Education Manager
Niamh is a registered general nurse who spent fourteen years in intensive care before joining Van Roon in 2020. She leads the team of four clinical educators who train ward staff when new beds are delivered, and is based in Ireland.
