VR-A4 mattress: CPR valve label

VR-A4 mattresses supplied before 1 March 2023.
What has happened
Hospitals have told us that the printed label on the red CPR valve of the VR-A4 mattress can wear away after repeated cleaning with chlorine-releasing agents. The valve works normally. Mattresses made from March 2023 have a moulded label.
What you need to do
- Fit the replacement labels supplied with this notice to each VR-A4 mattress at its next cleaning.
- Remind staff that the CPR valve is the red tab at the head end, on the patient’s left.
